Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Rahim. (Translation: I begin in the name of Allah, the Most-Gracious, the Most-Merciful)
“Assalamu alaikum”—also known as “peace be upon you”—the Islamic greeting enjoined upon every muslim as a way of greeting his fellow man, but you already know that.
Yet, I am very confused, how can your words give a greeting of peace but your actions prove otherwise as you cause nothing aside from chaos and destruction to mankind?
“And when it is said to them: ‘Create not disorder on the earth, ‘they say:’ We are only promoters of peace. Beware! it is surely they who create disorder, but they do not perceive it.” 2:12-13
Perhaps you should ponder over your actions and whether or not they are truly bringing about peace, because you have me and the rest of the world a bit confused, to say the least.
I do not understand your actions when the Quran, your Holy Book, the one you claim to follow, clearly condemns the killing of an innocent person in multiple occasions:
“But his mind induced him to kill his brother, so he killed him and became of the losers.” 5:31
I do not understand how becoming of “the losers” is something you would want to attain in Islam? Or how being equated to having “killed all of mankind” is something to work for?
“Whosoever killed a person — unless it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land — it shall be as if he had killed all mankind;” 5:33
Again, I am confused, how is killing innocent people who are not going around “killing” or “creating disorder in the land” okay in your religion? This quote in the Quran condemns the killing of the innocent. Let us be honest and think for a moment, who is really doing ‘the killing,’ and who is really ‘creating disorder in the land?’
One thing I can tell you is it is certainly not any of the innocent victims, non-muslims and muslims alike, that lie dead after the countless suicide bombs, nor is it any of the victims that have been run out of their homelands as refugees.
“The Arabs of the desert are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and most apt not to know the ordinances of the Revelation which Allah has sent down to His Messenger. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.” 9:97
Anyone can call themselves a muslim, anyone can call themselves a believer, but this does not make it true.
“And of the people there are some who say, ‘We believe in Allah and the Last Day;’ while they are not believers at all.” 2:9
Your religion never permits the killing of people just because they do not call themselves muslim, in fact, it does not permit you to be aggressive at all to them:
“So, if they keep aloof from you and fight you not, and make you an offer of peace, then remember that Allah has allowed you no way of aggression against them.” 4:91
If you really wanted to follow your religion and get on your Allah’s good side, I do not understand why you do not save lives instead of take them, it seems like the God of Islam would really like that:
“Whosoever saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the life of all mankind.” 5:33
Or why do you not act righteously and make peace between men? It seems like that is what you are commissioned to do in the Quran:
“And make not Allah a target for your oaths that you may thereby abstain from doing good and acting righteously and making peace between men. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” 2:225
“Allah” means “One God”, and according to Islam, the religion you claim to follow, He is the God of the Christians, the Jews, the atheists—according to Islam, He is the God of all mankind. One of the five pillars of your faith is to believe in all the prophets of the past—the prophets of Christianity and Judaism.
How can you agree to these pillars of faith, yet turn around and persecute the followers of these past prophets of God mentioned in the Quran, and force your will upon them? Not to mention, your God, the God of Islam, clearly states:
“There should be no compulsion in religion.” 2:257
To force Islam upon anyone is completely against the faith you claim to believe in. As it also clearly states that even God gave man free will, so where do you think you have the right to take it away?
“And if thy Lord had enforced His will, surely, all who are in the earth would have believed together. Wilt thou, then force men to become believers?” 10:100
Again, how about when it says:
“I swear by his repeated cry “O my Lord, that these are a people who will not believe. Therefore, turn aside from them, and say, “Peace,” and soon shall they know.” 43:89-90
I am very confused how driving explosive vehicles into towns and massacring innocent people equates to ‘turning aside from them, and saying, “Peace?” How is that following Islam? How is forcing your beliefs on someone else following Islam?
“It is the truth from your Lord; wherefore let him who will believe, and let him who will disbelieve.” 18:30
Instead, doesn’t your Holy Book give multiple examples of how to respond with peace to those who persecute you:
“Abraham said, ‘Peace be on thee.’ I will ask forgiveness of my Lord for thee. He is indeed gracious to me.” 19:48
“So follow the faith of your father Abraham; He named you Muslims both before and in this Book,” 22:79
The word “muslim” means “one who surrenders to the will of God.” If the God of Islam is “the Most-Forgiving” and “the Most-Merciful,” as stated in almost every chapter of your Holy Book, than to be a true muslim, one would have to surrender to the will of God—surrender to the attributes of God—surrender and become forgiving and merciful to all.
Nowhere does it say Allah is “the Most-Merciful”, “the Most-Gracious” to only those people who call themselves muslims.
“And Allah calls to the abode of peace, and guides whom He pleases to the straight path.” 10:26
Now, I am very confused. I suppose I am confused because none of your actions are justified by the Quran but, instead condemned by it, as well as condemned by your Holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad.
Did you forget what he said in his historical record to the people who persecuted and drove him out of his home? Let me remind you of what he told the people of Makkah when he returned in victory:
“You are free to remain in Makkah and free to practice your religion. No one will be compelled or forced in anyway.”
So then how do you have the right to act otherwise and take away man’s right not to practice Islam? Even worse, take away their right to live?
I could go on and on citing your own Holy Book, quoting from your Holy Prophet, but I am not sure your ears will listen for that long, so to sum it all up, I will quote your Holy Prophet’s last farewell address when he said:
“All blood feuds are wiped out. As God has made you one brotherhood, so be not divided. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab, nor is a white one to be preferred to a dark one, nor a dark one to a white one.”
So to all you ‘so-called’ muslims that are “creating disorder in the land” and shedding innocent blood—savagely killing your God’s beautiful creation—read your Holy Book properly with honesty and sound-hearted wisdom.
If you are unable to do so, and refuse to heed the true teachings of your Holy Quran and your Holy Prophet Muhammad—the true teachings of Islam—and you must continue taking the lives of innocent people, then at least call yourselves by your real names, not muslims but murderers.
